Shari I. Weintraub

Shari I. Weintraub is an experienced attorney with legal counseling, administrative, civil litigation and appellate experience.  Her practice is focused on the defense of long term care facilities, personal injury, and employment matters.  Shari has extensive discovery, deposition, and law and motion experience and  has prepared for and appeared on behalf of her clients at numerous trials and on appeal.  Prior to joining Wilson Getty, Shari practiced with a large national law firm specializing in personal injury, toxic tort, and employment matters.  During her career, she has also specialized in pharmacy-related matters including representing licenses at the California Board of Pharmacy, professional malpractice, premises liability, insurance defense and product liability.  Shari was also a lecturer and instructor for a national Bar review company teaching California and Nevada Bar candidates effective writing techniques.

Shari is an “AV Preeminent Peer Review Rated Lawyer.  She has also been recognized as a “San Diego Top Lawyer” since 2016.  Shari graduated with a degree in economics and accounting from Claremont McKenna College, and obtained her Juris Doctorate from California Western School of Law where she was Staff Editor for the Law Review and a member of the National Moot Court Team.  She also distinguished herself with an American Jurisprudence Award in Legal Skills II, Best Appellate Brief, and an Academic Achievement Award for her externship with the Honorable Justice Don R. Work at the California Court of Appeal, Fourth Appellate District.  She is admitted to practice before all California State Courts, the United States District Courts for the Southern, Central and Northern Districts of California, and the United States Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.  She is a former Board member of San Diego Defense Lawyers.
